Biography

Adrian started up as a photographer in 1999, following an early voluntary retirement from Royal Mail. Initial wedding and social photography was eventually eclipsed by an increasing involvement in traditional darkroom work. He now prints for some high-profile photographers, whose work is exhibited widely, and sold in galleries in London, Europe, and America.
His personal work is very varied, but mainly comprises of coastal, landscape, and street images. These have appeared in books, magazines, on book covers, and in international salons and exhibitions. In 2012, he won the "Human Spirit" section of "Black & White Photography" magazine's annual "Photographer Of The Year" competition.
While he has embraced the new digital age of photography, he is still very much involved with the traditional art of film photography and darkroom printing, and is available for teaching this fascinating subject in his darkroom in Hastings, East Sussex.
